I know most of the board is all about indie or metal but does anyone enjoy here experimental music? or electronic? Its hard to combine a love of guitar and dance or hip hop (beats) music but im sure there are a lot of open minds here.

what i came up with.

Tons of people on UG do, actually. You'd be surprised.

not very good, but you can take a peaky at my profile or myspace.com/jayalfred. I haven't updated any of that stuff in years.

They aren't very experimental, but Ratatat does a good job of putting guitar and electronics together. Unfortunately they get pretty old pretty quickly.

Holy Fuck use pretty much only live instruments to make "electronic-style" music.

No guitar (as far as I can tell), but Crystal Castles are pretty awesome, but hands of Alice Glass, she's mine!

The Faint are one of my fave bands ever. They're more dance-punk, but you might like them. If you do, check out Death From Above 1979. They aren't electronic at all, but they're heavy and strangely dancey, and amazing.

And lastly, one of my favorite (note I typed the whole word this time, that means I mean it more) Of Montreal do some wild stuff. Depending on what you listen to, they can come off as really poppy, or really freaky. Hissing Fauna and Skeletal Lamping use a lot of live instruments combined with drum machines and sequencers in some weird, hard to define ways.

Well, most of these probably aren't quite what you're looking for, but they're all worth a shot if you ask me.

After eight of these threads I can't say I'm warming up to the idea.

Here's something I composed not too long ago that I consider pretty experimental as far as electronic music is concerned. It's a mixture of trance, hip-hop and solemn piano. Also, warning; ponies.
