Basically what the title says. I have a Shubb currently, but I don't really like it. Any suggestions?

Dude not that big of a deal, just need it to be tight on neck so it holds all the strings down. I've been playin 13 years and still have the same black capo that i dont even know the brand but it reminds me of a treble clef or somethin... ne way don't sweat it too much, im sure someone at your local music shop can also provide you with a more complete answer. Shouldn't cost you too much at all.

I think you're talking about a Kayser.... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/kyser-quick-change-capo-for-12-string-guitar/361610000001000

@ the TS: "Planet Waves" capos work very well, they'll even hold down a 12 string without buzzing, which is not what I've found to be true for a Kayser model targeted at 12 strings. (See link above).

The one thing that the Planet Waves has going against it, you can't stick it on the headstock when you're not using.

That said, I have both types, Kayser and Planet Waves, but only use the Kaysers on my 6 strings.

The Planet Waves capos are smaller, and possibly get in your way less than the larger types. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/planet-waves-ns-aluminum-screw-type-capo/365244000000000

At home I use a Kyser Quick Change (spring clamp type). They are definately quick and convenient, the down side to them is because of the excess pressure they exert, they cause a few or all of the strings to become pitched slightly sharp. You then either adjust your tuning or play a little out of tune.

If i'm playing out, I use an old Victor capo (side screw type). I like it because I can control the pressure, so theres no need to adjust tuning, its relatively fast, and has a somewhat small profile.
I'm the only player to be sponsered by 7 guitar companies not to use their products.

ukeyuke;

What is it that u don't like about the Shubb? I'm just curious, as I have a whole drawer full of other capos that I gave up on once I discovered the Shubb

First and only capo I will buy. I love it.

Fair enough, but the "Limited Edition Swarovsky Model", is tackier than Taylor Swift's guitar strap. Way, way, tackier.....
