Here a couple of gear project that I have worked on in the past year or two.

Cajon

Started out with a Birch Plywood box that is the same size as a Meinl Cajon from dimension that I found online.

The outside of the box stained, the back panel is made out of 1/4" plywood. The hole was cut out with a jig saw.

The inside snare design was also based roughly off of a Meinl Cajon. The strings used are low E acoustic strings.

The finished Cajon. The outside is finished with lin seed oil.

Bongo Cajon

The sides cut out of solid maple, the work being done by my dad.

Cut outs for the bottom cut on the band saw.

The sides taped together and sanded so that they are identical.

The Cajon glued, taped, clamped and left over night.

The cherry for the top being cut in two so it can then be planed down
