Thinking about changing my strings to see if this stops, but lately seems like my tuning is jumping up and down. One minute it sounds good, then I find a string here and there out of wack (usually D). I pull out the tuner (I am anal about that), and get it there and even during tuning with the slightest turns I find it jumps.

Change strings, common, something else, etc.?

Let me know.

could be the strings are too old. could be they're too new. could be that they're strung improperly and are slipping (my friend larry always has this problem). and like Captaincranky says, could be that the nut slots are too narrow, and the strings stick, then suddenly let go, causing a sudden change to the tuning of that string.
