I can't find anything about this online because if I google "6505+ combo fuse" I get answers to if the fuse has blown, which is NOT the case. The fuse is intact, but it appears to be loose in the socket. Like I can pull it out with my fingers. I have tried using a screwdriver to secure it but it doesn't appear to screw in, or 'clip' in or anything.

Currently the amp isn't turning on, I am assuming because the fuse is loose.

Any suggestions?

take the fuse out and bend the clips a bit.
If that doesn't work, replace it.

yeah, what these guys are saying - that will create more tension

hopefully, this will fix your problem as I saw your thread last night.

if not - I'd suggest going back to your other thread so you don't have to repeat everything you've done so far and everyone can see the advice that has already been given. good luck

Bend them so they apply more tension to the fuse. Do we really have to tell you how to suck an egg?

This is what it looks like now, not sure if it means anything to anyone:

It's going into the socket fine, but it is still poking out by a few milimetres, so I rotate it both clockwise and anticlockwise to see if it slots in but it doesn't, it just rotates.

Managed to get the camera to focus on everything but the fuse... I could be wrong, but it looks like you pulled out more than the fuse...?

I've now got the fuse in, but the amp doesn't turn on still.

If I push the fuse further the lights come on but when I let go they turn off again so the problem is definately that the fuse isn't attached properly.

And I can still 'pop' it back out with my fingers, which I guess isn't right.

EDIT: Problem solved!! Thanks everyone!
