Within the first seconds, my body was already grooving to it. The rhythm guitars at 0:20 sound so brutal in the back, love that. Felt like I was listening to a new Scar Symmetry track. The tone on the guitar is great! The mix is great too. Have you got vocals for this piece? I think there's an opportunity for different sections. Maybe with vocals, the changes you have would be stronger but as is, it all feels a bit one and the same. Definitely keen to hear more of your recordings though - any full songs done? Keep it up champo!

Thanks man. Mixed it a bit clearer too. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3602793/Jan%2020th%20v2.mp3

Going to lower the snare a bit then maybe more fine tuning later since the snare is kinda meh sounding.

Glad you dig it though man.

As for a equipment get ready it's a bit much.

Guitars:
ESP LTD MH-417 -> TS9 -> ISP Decimator -> Baron Custom Amp K88 -Lineout-> Saffire Pro24 -> Sonar 8.5. Did a little bit of EQing with the guitars, not too much though.

Bass is Trilian VSTI with some grit on it.

Drums are a mix of Superior Drummer 2 and Steven Slate Drums.

Not completely finished with the mix because it is kinda raw still.

Nice man it sounds good. I dig the OHs, maybe a little more humanizing there though. The playing is great. I would mess with the lead guitar tone a little, get the bass a little more distorted and give that kick a little more meat. I like click but I like my kick to have some bottom to it.

Also yes I'm using Superior and Slate drums.
