Hello there,

A friend of mine sent me some pictures of a Fender amp he got from his uncle, who passed away.
He doesn't know anything about guitars, amps or music, so he asked me what it's worth (he's planning on selling it).
I had never heard of the Fender Tremolux, but after some research I'm very interested in buying it myself.
Can anyone give me some more information? (These pictures are the only thing I have, I have never seen the amp myself).
What should I pay for this? Is it worth it?

I consider this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity because my friend doesn't know this is a rare amp. I am willing to pay a fair price for it.

On one of the pictures I can see it has the original 6L6GC tubes in it.
What about the speaker cabinet?

Many thanks for your answers.

Regards,

M'

Try and get a serial number off of it. Knowing the year would be a huge help.

The front pannel says 'Fender Musical Instruments', so it must be a '65 - '66 model (the post CBS-period, also the distribution of Fender Tremolux stopped in '66).

No idea how much it's worth - mainly because you don't say where you live. In Australia, probably about $2K but you could live in Botswana for all we know.

Well then I'm out. Hopefully somebody from Europe will reply to you. If I tried to value it I'd be talking out of my arse.

The serial number is A 08124

Is it worth paying 1000-1500 euro's for it?
Or am I better off buying a new amp for that amount of money.

Are all the parts original? (speakers?)
On e-bay, the head alone is being sold for €1000.
Cab+head = 2.5k
I think you have yourself a pretty sweet deal here.
