When playing/listening to music, do you keep timing, and if so, how?

I'd like to say my rythm is natural.

I move my head, be it nodding or headbanging or just swinging it.
I tap my feet, stomp too, sometimes.

I also have this stupid thing where I say Banana.
Like...
'Ba Na
Na Na Na
Banana
Nana Nana Na
Na Na Na
Banana ana
ah, potasiem
is
so darn good
Banana
Nana Nana Na (Something like that for You Could Be Mine; I can think it, but it's hard to type what's going on, so; That's ROUGHLY what's going on in my head, with that song, if anything's going through my head at all, I mean, otherwise I'm just thinking about random stuff and stuff.)

I was just listening to Hollaback Girl and, 'This sh*t is bananas B, A, N, A, N, A, S
This sh*t is bananas B, A, N, A, N, A, S' just reminded me of that.

The meatspin technique.
There's a good chance that what I've written above is useless and if you take any of the advice it's your own fault.

It is mostly leg movement.
But when playing a song it comes to be natural to keep in time. nodding, tapping feet or headbanging is just a part of enjoying the music then.

In some songs where the timing of certain parts is weird I'll actually count out the measures before.

I'll nod my head usually, unless it's some weird pattern or something. Like the intro to this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eKh8_Nriso

For stuff like that, I just have the pattern in my head, like a picture almost but not . And I'll make a percussive noise with my mouth to it. Actually, I just tried it and I nod my head to that as well. The more ya know.

I mostly tap my foot. I may keep a steady time with that, but I notice when I listen to a song that I'm trying to mimic, I'm not playing in the correct tempo.

My timing is usually correct, but I'll be off on the tempo. I usually try to use backing tracks.
