Does anybody know what the difference between an Epiphone SG G-400 and an SG G-310 is? Difference in pickups, bolt on vs. stuck on, anything like that? The only thing I'm aware of is that 400 is a remake of the '67 Gibson SG, and 310 is a remake of of the '62; but I can't find any physical difference.

The 310 is terrible. The 400 is good for the money.

The difference is I believe the 400 has a set neck, better pickups, and i would say fit and finish all around, especially in the neck. I owned a 310 and honestly it felt and sounded like a toy. I had a G-400 custom (the three pickup model) and it was a LOT nicer to play. Definitely go for the G-400 out of the two.

G-310 : bolt-on neck, Really bad pickups, Vintage style tuners (think cheap)

G-400 Solid Mahogany set neck, Grover tuners, cheap pickups (still better than the 310)

I was just wondering, I already have an SG Prophecy Custom XG.
Much higher quality than the G-400.
