Lifehacker put up this article today on how to release your music online without a record label. Most of it is pretty standard stuff but there were a couple services I hadn't heard of, and it was nice to see all the info in one place.
Is this enlightening for anyone else, or just another bro's cool story?

Which way I fly is Hell; myself am Hell;
And, in the lowest deep, a lower deep
Still threatening to devour me opens wide,
To which the Hell I suffer seems a Heaven.

I've made around 100 bucks on bandcamp.

A russian website paid me 50 just cuz my song was in a flash game they wanted to buy.

I made 30 when my music was put on a boss fight in an xbox arcade release.

I got a free copy of beat hazard ultra cuz my music's in the game.

For 20 bucks down you can release music on Google music/Android market.

I'm going to take this opportunity to initiate my campaign to replace the phrase "Taking a shit" with "Busting a grumpy."

Bookmarked, thanks for that.
Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise

I you want to spread your music out through creative commons license, upload to newgrounds.

Flash artists and game makers are all over that place,adn it's great publicity getting your music into a popular game or cartoon.

I bookmarked the page, it has some things I haven't tried yet.

+1 for Newgrounds. The peeps there are pretty helpful and don't hesitate to criticize. I just made a bandcamp. Good post OP

I'm glad people found it useful. I've wondered about this kind of thing for a while, and now it seems pretty feasible.
