Here's my shot at a punkish song. Maybe more pop punk, but I dunno. Any thoughts/suggestions? Would love to get some opinions on the mix.

good guitar tone, im quite a big fan of punk so this appealed to me, though there was a few sections where it sounded a tad disjointed, and it seems a little too long for an instrumental in my opinion. overall though, its fairly decent, give yourself a pat on the back

Well there are vocals to the song, but the lazy bum vocalist hasn't recorded any yet. But as far as being repetitive, it is a punk song so that was kind of the idea. Thanks for the crits though.

The playing's alright but it sort of sounds like Breaking Benjamin or Nickelback. I didn't get a punk vibe from it.

Aaron,
Thanks, the guitar tone was one of my biggest areas I wanted to work on. I know some of it is sloppy, but I was more concerned about the mix on just a simple song.

MetalMilitia212,
I don't hear the BB or Nickelback influence that you did. This was a song I did in a horror punk/rock band a few years back. So, it's not straight up punk. I thought it had a more pop punk vibe to it when we did it back then.

But thanks to everyone for the crits so far.

Nice song, fine melodic riffs, great sound and the mix is pretty good, though in my opinion, it could use some better compression or limiter setup, it sounds good, but when I listened to it on my headphones, I could hear a lot of noises, which are the effect of loudening. Nonetheless good work, keep it up.

Cheers

Thanks. I just got my monitors setup, so I may not have them setup or placed properly. Because I haven't heard those noises. I'll go back and listen to it through my headphones again and see what you're talking about. Again, thanks for the crit. Cheers.

Btw. I'm just listening to the songs on your ug profile. I really like your band Adire, good work Is there any chance I could download these songs somewhere or you would be so kind and send them to me by email I've also read that you'd like to do some collab, so I'd like to record something together, if you were interested. Cheers

Adire has been broke up for a couple years, but I can get the songs for you. We have about 10 or 11, plus there's some newer songs on the myspace page that I don't have on my laptop.

Yea I would definitely like to do some colabs. Send me a message and we'll get something setup.

Really cool riffs going on from the start in the Punk demo. I like the tone and attitude going on in the music, sounds like it would make good sports music for video highlights life in MMA for example. the solo sounded like it was lacking a little...maybe try to break away from the same rhythm as the other guitar to make it stand out more. good job though!

Thanks. I'm not much of a lead player, so it was just thrown in. Just something simple then I played around with Supatrigga on the solo track. Thanks for the crit and I'll get to yours here later tonight.
