Hey everyone,
Despite how this may sound, I'm really not too newbish on guitar adjustments. I'm just looking for some input.

I like my action as low as possible. My question is, how far are your strings from your 1st and 24th frets? Are the two usually the same distance from the strings? I seem to have a bit of space above the 24th fret, but I can barely fit a sheet of paper between the 1st fret and the low E string. I feel like this is caused by a bit of back bow, and if I were to loosen the rod a bit and lower the action accordingly, I could get the gaps to be about the same.

1st fret height is caused by the nut, 24th fret height is caused by the bridge, mid region area height is from the truss rod adjustment.
Moving on.....

Gotcha. I need to go get a nut that's just a tiny bit taller...

sliip a bit of paper under the string in the cut of the nut first.

see if that helps. then you'll know.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
