Hello. I just bought some headphones which I want to use for my keyboard and my electric guitar. They work fine with the keyboard, but they do no work on my guitar-amp. It is a 6-year-old amp, Fender Frontman 15g. It has an "input" called "headphones". But when I plug in there is no sound from the amp, nor through the headphones.

Do you think my amp is broken? I havent treated the amp badly and it has been standing the same place for a quite long time.

Any suggestions to what I can do?

if you move the jack around do you get any noise at all? even crackeling?

If you do, you probably have a dirty phone jack. Get some electrical contact cleaner and spray some in jack. Plug the headphones in and out a few times and see if that works,

I had one of those for my first amp and the headphone jack didn't last too long

No it doesnt make the slightest sound when the headphones are enabled. Even not the background noise which it uses to.

sounds like your jack is bad.
