I need some major scales shapes that I can use over the CAGED system positions across the neck.
If someone can post me a link, thank you very much.

TS, you do realise that the CAGED shapes pretty much ARE the major scale?

Is there a order in which I can build the whole scale using the chords C A G E D ..
Or is itdepending on what key I'm on? Can any of those chords be minor chords too? Or just stick to majors

What I'm trying to figure out is, if I choose the G for my root.. how can I build the whole major scale from there without looking at the scale pa7terns sheet

Thanks again

1. Know the notes of G major
2. Find them all over the neck

1) Learn one "shape" of the major scale.
2) Get comfortable using that shape until you understand the scale as a series of sounds that are related to each other based on their positions on the fretboard.
3) Find yourself using the scale all over the neck!

every time i see this thread

learn the notes and sounds, shapes only help you as far as your ear and interval knowledge
