So I've been messing around with this chord progession for a while now. A couple weeks ago I decided to try to make something out of it and take it a little further. I took a stab at adding some improvised leads and some drum tracks and fills.... I'm a complete newb hack DIY'er when it comes to recording and have tons to learn. There are a couple parts I should probably fix....(namely the volume spike at 2:52ish and the fade out around 3:34). The track could probably use a bass however I dont play bass....yet! Anyway, here's the track
thanks

yeah there is some mixing issues as you have pointed out, it ain't a easy game to start out with....my early tracks suck production wise.
This a comes with practice...As for the playing it is bloody solid mate. Keep hacking at this from time to time as you increase your knowledge and it wil be a top blues jam.
As for bass guitars...none my tracks have an actual bass guitar...I alter the sound via a morpheus pedal. =D

Leads are played wel overall, the middle bit does ramp up in volume but overal I liked it.

Crit here if you want. =)

there was nothing wrong with this except it was a little redundant and drawn out. the soling kinda reminded me of neil young. so i would want to hear a voice like his, i think would fit. the lead guitars were pretty cool, i keep thinking pink floyd and david gilmoure because of the name, yet i still can hear some pink floyd, dont know if youre into them or not.
overall it was pretty good for what it is, you could definitely go somewhere else with it.

Thanks man....yes, I'm a HUGE floyd fan, they (namely david gilmour) are definitely a huge inspiration in some of my playing. As this was my first attempt at something like this, Im planning on remixing and tweaking a bit...
thanks for listening

Very nice ! I love the tone of the lead, and the leads themselves too. I don't think the track particularly needs bass, except maybe after 2:52, until 3:32... but if you think it does, there are some pretty good VST basses you can just add to your DAW.

Here's my own riffs if you feel like listening to something a bit faster https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1516374

its very relaxing to listen to. not gonna dwell on the mixing as you know theres an issue, but in terms of balance between the instruments i thought it wasn't that bad. imo, melody was good, and isn't tiring/boring on the ears (which can be easy to do in instrumentals) so you deserve praise for that. again, can hear Dave Gilmour influence (in a good way). nice.

welcome to listen to mine:
