Hey guys, recording nub here!

Just acquired at JCM800 combo, and it has a D.I output on the back.

Is there anything I need to do to the amp before using it? I seem to remember reading that if you channel all the amp's power through an incorrect output you risk blowing it.

Also, assuming using the D.I is viable, is it okay to use an adaptor to bring it down to a 3.5mm jack? I know that's bordering retarded for recording purposes but humour me.

Thanks for any response!

I would presume it is fine as long as you keep the speaker output connected and just turn the master volume down, as the DI output should be from the preamp section. Do a little more research though, as I've no experience with that amp.
Hey, look. Sigs are back.
