I was browsing a local music shop and came across these:

I'm looking back into playing guitar again, was wondering if anyone knew about these because they are quite cheap..........
Can anyone recommend me a decent guitar that i wont get bored listening to =D?
(price range $200-$300, probly gonna be hard with this range......)
I was also looking at the IBANEZ V50NJP ACOUSTIC PACK and FENDER SQUIER SA-100 ACOUSTIC PACK out of curiosity.

Thanks

i can't speak for whether you'll get bored, but i definitely recommend a yamaha fg700, fg720 or fg730. the 700 is a nice guitar with a gloss finish, good build quality and solid top, and is quite a good value.

The yamaha was $319 (from 399) and the ibanez was $279 (from 349)

it's probably those nasty yamaha strings yamaha puts on their guitars. when they used other brands - i think mostly d'addario - people liked their guitars out of the box. now you have to change the strings to hear the guitars sounding their best. lame.

spruce is the main wood most tops are made of. the guitar you got is all laminate, which means only a thin veneer of the top is spruce - the rest is some other wood. but the bottom line - if you enjoy it and it sounds good to you, it's the right guitar.
