Okay. So i have no idea which brands or good and bad when it comes to microphones, and even though this is the "guitar accessory" forum, i didn't know where else to turn

So pretty much i just need a decent mic that I can record with to make rough cuts on songs before i go to the studio. It doesn't have to be great, hence i will be recording with my laptop. And im not trying to spend more than 80$.

ill be scouting craigslist, so brands to look for are appreciated too.

thanks

Audio Technica make a good cheap USB microphone.

AKG also do a good one. If you don't have an audio interface, then a USB mic would do the trick.

That's the advantage of being such a distance from Yianni. I can continue to live my life without fear of stumbling upon his dark terror.

A friend uses the Shure PG42 and gets fairly reasonable results.
It's an opinion. It's subjective. And I'm right, anyway.
