I just got a new Ibanez GRG170DX and am now putting strings on it. I put on the high E string just like I always do but as I'm testing it out it sounds almost as if the pitch barely changes (if at all) as I hit different frets. :/ It doesn't even seem possible in my limited knowledge of physics :| Can anyone clue me in as to what I did wrong/forgot to do? I've never strung up a brand new guitar before :/

when all the strings are on.

then tune up and check the tuning at the 12th fret.

if it's not in tune at the 12th, then you need to adust its intonation.

check the green link in my sig. first post explains.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
