So I have a homemade surround sound set-up, but it's missing a sub woofer. A friend of mine gave me a Altec Lansing vs4121 PC sub woofer, but to get it to work it's needs the satellites. Thing is I don't have them, or the wires. It's just the sub by itself. I'm wondering if I could solder something on the circuit board to make it functional or rig it somehow using different wires. The ports on the back are left, right (9 Pin mini din), and the input. From what I gathered no sound will come out of it until the mini din is plugged into the back. So I'm trying to find a way to bypass it so I can just plug something into the input and have it work.

Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions?
