Alright guys title says it all, what's the best concert you have seen outside of the the genre(s) you normally listen to?

I just got tickets to see Tommy Emmanuel and I am super psyched about it. I'm a hard/classic rock guy normally, but the things he can do with an acoustic guitar are just amazing and I can't wait to see him.

A Jazz trio I saw a while ago when I didn't listen to Jazz. I can't remember what they were called but they came all the way from America just to play one show and they were sick.

Went to see Chase and Status while I was still a single-minded metalhead. Small, packed to capacity (no more than 150 people) club. ****ing awesome.
#6
Filter and Seether played the Schecter NAMM party and they both were awesome, though I've always loved Filter.

Elton John was fantastic when I saw him as well.

I've never been to a show that wasn't some sort of rock concert. I barely even like rock music any more.

Bon Jovi, was a hell of a concert, 3 hours with only a 7 minute break. the guy is incredible

Crystal Castles.
Concerts usually make people hard of hearing for a bit. This show made me partially blind for an hour or two.

This video sucks for sound but the visuals are just what I want to show. DEM LIGHTS

I don't know what else to put since I don't really have a main genre. I just have never been to a show like this before, so that's why I put it. Great show nonetheless. I go to shows of all genres though.

I saw Aesop Rock over the summer. It was the only rap concert I've ever been too. I enjoyed it though.

Bon Jovi is one of the many things that make me ashamed of New Jersey.

Aaron Lewis from Staind has come to town twice in the past few years doing a solo acoustic performance. I'm not a fan of Staind by any means but the tickets were free so I figured why not? It was a surprisingly excellent performance I'm glad I went to.

My friend is a huge hipster and always needs someone to go to obscure band shows, and alot of them are really bad, but I'm actually surprised at some of them. Those hipsters can put on a show (some of them)

Crystal Castles is hands down the best show I've ever been to. The energy from the band was incredible (even with Alice's broken ankle) and everyone was really into it. By the end of it, I was completely drenched in sweat (not knowing whether it was mine or someone else's)

Here's a vid of the gig I went to

Im going to see Jon Gomm in March.
Checked his tour dates last year and he's playing at a random pub in my hometown which is a small fishing town...a pub which no one goes too, is right next door to a KFC and it's free...i'm bewildered at it to be honest.

Other than that, nearly every show i've been too has been rock related in some way.
Saw Foxy Shazam which blew me away though, unreal stage presence...don't really know what genre they are though, kind of pop, rock, Queen type of thing I guess.

saw some dudes do an old school country duo the other night, and they were dead on 30 hours of recording level of accuracy and grooving so hard it's like someone glued their upper lip to the mic and they were trying to dance away.

they had some awful country name, like Mark Wayne and his Freedom Crooners, but the show made me wish they could do third songs at open mics.

I saw TSO back in December.

That's the only concert I've been to. That's the only concert I'll ever go to. Too many people.
#25
Parkway Drive back when I didn't listen to them. I'm surprised I went in the first place but it was a good show. Less than 30 people and it was just really fun een though I had no idea what was going on.

I've been to TSO and it's extremely mild compared to a real show. In TSO you're sitting down the whole time and no one is shoving or anything. Go to a local show, you'll get killed lmao

Oh I know. The audience was respectful and all, but I just really hate crowds.

A few friends back up North once wanted to take me to front-row of a BLS concert. I obviously didn't go. I just didn't understand the point of going there for the sole purpose of getting pummeled. And besides, I wouldn't go to a concert like that without a concealed firearm, which they prohibit anyways.

Going to see Kimbra next Friday. Heard maybe 2 songs of hers, but it's a uni party and everyone will be drunk and happy, so it should be fun.

I went to a John Mellancamp concert sometime in 1990. I was still in the womb, but from what I remember, it was a kick ass show.

You, good sir, have not gone over to your friends house after a hard night of drinking to find 2 dudes passed out in the same room both holding their own flaccid cocks in hand, passed out, with porn on the tv.
