So I am looking for a new amp. I want to buy a 2x12 tube combo. I have one of the best distortion pedals on the market so what I am really looking for is an amp with a GREAT clean channel that has alot of headroom, that would take a distortion pedal really well. I don't really care how good or bad the drive channel is as I use my pedals to take care of that. So far the amps that I can think of that have the best cleans are Vox AC30, Fender Hot Rod Deville, Peavey Classic 50, Kustom Defender V100, Egnater Renegade. But the only one that I have been able to try with distortion pedals running into it is the AC30, sounds good but I am curious about the rest of these. Does anyone have any experience running distortion pedals into any of these amps, if so which do you think is the best? Or do you have any other suggestions. I am in a Flyleaf style rock band. My budget is around $1200, can go new or used.
