Well I just got pretty much a whole new rig for my Am. Standard Strat over the last couple days. Im loving the tone I'm copping with the Blues Jr. $500 for this thing is a great deal! The other 3 pedals all sound awesome through it. I may get the Keeley mod for the BD but for now it sounds great. I was looking to get a John Mayer type tone and I'm very please with the outcome. For about $800 USD i don't think you could get much closer!

I also got a VOX Wah, but its getting returned because it doesn't work. It was brand new, i tried multiple batteries and nothing worked. Must just be a dud I guess.

Ill hopefully have some sound demos for you all soon, until then rock on!

HNGD! Looks awesome.

have you tried switching on the wah?!

when i first got mine the switch was really stiff so i thought it didnt work. turns out that i just needed a really heavy step on it.

Happy new gear day! Quality stuff! Which Vox Wah did you get?

It was the V845, I was quite upset at first that it didn't work. But now I think after I return it I'll just use the money towards an Keeley Katana or something else I would get better use out of. If I really need to Wah, ill just use my old RP355. Not great but serviceable.

Yea I did, I also tried using my hand, and cocking the wah up and pressing the button with my finger. Nothing. Unless I'm still doing something wrong?

I have a V845 and I wouldn't recommend it. :P

Totally love some SRV. I took the wah back today, they confirmed my diagnosis of the V845 being a dud. I decided to exchange it for a BBE Boosta Grande, love it so far. I'll put some pics up tomorrow, as its nearly 3 a.m.

Here's the Boosta Grande, its a pretty transparent clean boost. It will hold me over for a while until i decide to get a Keeley Katana, but I love the sound of this. Not a big fan of the housing, but whatever

nice gear. i see the Aqua Puss on so many pedal boards, i really have to get in and try one of them. seems like they are in the must have pedal category.

Every guitar and bass forum I've visited has some people chasing some magical tone that will shoot jizzing unicorns riding on a rainbow out of their amp.

Thanks y'all. The Aqua Puss is for sure a great pedal, it will definitely be on my pedalboard forever.

As far as the Boosta Grande goes, I got to use it live for the first time tonight at church. I haven't got everything set up to have my Blues Jr. miced yet, so I just ran the Boosta in front of my RP355 for solo boosts and such, it was awesome actually! Had lots of compliments. Actually even had the sound guy tell me I sounded great tonight and he turned me up even more. So needless to say me and this little pedal have made nice.

Hey guys, anyone interested i finally got around to taking a couple John Mayer style recording from my "new" rig. Let me know what you think! The recording was done on my iPhone, so the quality isn't wonderful.

Which pedal do you like more, the tubescreamer or the blues driver? And why? I'm curious of your opinion cause you just got both.

HNA&PD! BJ's are awesome

Looks killer man!
I love looking at NGD threads.
After working all summer I'll probably blow my cash on some stuff and put it up here.

Thanks guys, make sure to check out the two little recordings, there not great but its a good idea of some the John Mayer esque tones I'm getting. They're just using the BJ, but two very different sounds, i love this amp!

I like them both actually. Probably the BD a little bit more, but I have them set up differently. The BD is set for a little more grit each of the settings a little under halfway. The TS-9 i use as more of a boost, with the tone around half way, the gain on 0 and the level set for boost. Kinda like the way SRV would use his.

at first glance i thought it said anal play on the aqua puss...
Happy Ngd!
