I just bought my friend's classical guitar for a discounted price. I've been playing for about 6 years, but I haven't really done much with finger picking, other than Stairway to Heaven and a little bit of Black Bird. What finger picking sounds should I learn to get myself used to the technique?

Big ones can be fun in some ways but generally, they are a pain in the ass.

I don't know any contemporary pop songs. However, most all traditional blues are/can be played fingerstyle.
Likewise most of Dylan's early stuff; Don't Think Twice works very well.
