Can't decide which to buy:

New Fender Deluxe Stratocaster with maple neck
or
Ibanez Prestige RG3550MZ GK.

I play mostly classic rock and favored to do solos than riffs/rhythm.
both guitar has a very nice neck profile,

I'd say get the Fender. The Ibanez would be better for heavier stuff. Classic rock is my favorite genre of music as well. The Fender will have a cleaner sound and it would work out great for you.

i have a 3550MZ got it new for sub $700, lol. it is a killer guitar. one of my favorites, everyting is great. but you could always look used. for $380 i picked a 2570EVSL w/case and case candy, only thing that really is different is that it doesn't come with real Dimarzios, although the stock pickups are decent, they are the better Dmarzio/Ibanez pickups, but not as nice as the 3550MZ, however the 2570 has the origional edge bridge, which people seem to like more.

killer guitars though. here they are

Not really. It just looks better for heavier stuff. Really you can do anything you want to with any guitar, as long as it has appropriate pickups in it.

But besides that point, yes stock the Fender would most likely be better.
