Never played with them on any platform and was wondering what the community thinks of them..I'd say I'm an eclectic musician and play a wide range of music. thank you for your time and effort in responding.

On an acoustic? Eh, I use them on my PRS when I'm playing a lot of jazz and older music but other than that I don't touch them.

I have them on my Taylor T5 - using 11s on it. I absolutely love them. The tone from the flatwounds is a bit warmer, but for jazz it works great. I like the fact that you don't get the noise from your fingers moving along the strings. I thought about placing them on my acoustic and maybe one of my electrics, but haven't done it yet.

I'd say they work for some things and not as well for other. They're smooth and mellow, which is why many jazz players use them.

On the other hand, if you want a Nashville twang, 80/20 round wounds are probably the way to go.
