Just played a Burns Cobra on saturday, and it was the first guitar to actually amaze me with how it sounded. I really liked the neck profile also, and the trem was great for surf-type stuff which is my use of trems... Also pretty affordable at $445.

Has anyone experienced any problems with these guitars? Because if no one has a reason, I'm gonna get one of these.
I'm up for building you a pedal.

Not sure about the newer ones - I played a vintage one - from late '60s - quite some years ago as it intrigued me. Sounded and felt good, just wasn't the sound that I was after. at the time.

If it feels good, there's nothing obviously wrong with it, holds it's tuning after a good thrashing and it's in your budget - go for it.
It's an opinion. It's subjective. And I'm right, anyway.

My uncle picked one up just after Christmas. He brought it around and it was possibly the best strat i've ever played. Sounded awesome too. He payed £270 for it 2nd hand but it was never played by the original owner. I'd go for it, felt like a solid guitar to me.
