This has probably been asked here before but I can't find anything that helps so forgive me if I am re asking but I have a berhringer b-1 condenser mic and an m audio fast track pro; I am also recording into garageband. My problem is that garageband won't pick up anything when I'm using my b-1 mic. I thought at first it was the m-audio but I used a dynamic mic and it picked it up just fine so the problem has to be with my b-1 but Im not sure what it is exactly because I just bought it. I have the phantom power switch on and everything plugged into the right place. I have the inputs setup on garageband correctly, yet it still doesn't want to record anything through that mic.

Any help is appreciated!

So the exact same setup works fine with another mic?

That leaves two possibilities:
-phantom power is dead
-condensor mic is dead

Try the condensor mic in another unit and see if it still doesn't work.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

both the mic and the m-audio (which is supplying the phantom power) are brand new though.

Could be that, or with My Condenser Mic I have to set the sensetivity levels of the mic with the audio interface. If you have your sensetivity set too low it'll seem like its not pickin anything up.

Are you getting sound though the headphone socket on the M Audio interface?
