So....pics?

Egnater Rebel 30 w/ matching cab

Much better than the Tweaker IMO, the clean channel is lush and the drive sounds are good.
Not much else I can say. The tube mix doesn't do much at low volumes so I kinda use it like an attenuator and the "attenuator" doesn't really work like one, it just reduces headroom.

But this thing is amazing when cranked

I agree with you on the Rebel > Tweaker, but they're both nice. The rebel will probably be my next buy. Hope you enjoy it!

Nice choice. I've said this before but I've noticed quite a lot of pros in TV studios with Egnaters behind them these days. That has to say something. When it's your livelihood you don't screw around with crap.

Lol Cath, I was actually considering some of your amps but they were just a bit too much (maybe because you're in Australia) and I couldn't try them out.........

The Jack Daniels Marshall seems interesting......

I'm building a Fender Deluxe in an actual cookie tin atm but have parts for another JD 18W'er on their way as well - plus parts for a JTM45 but that's just for me to indulge in my Gary Moore tone fetish. At this rate I'm going to have to build an actual factory.

I haven't thought about it. I am planning on building two rack units into the headshell, one space to hold a mk1 Marshall Guv'nor and a Rangemaster, the other to hold a Quadraverb. Basically, Gary Moore and Beano in a box. It's something I've always wanted, a rig to produce the two greatest blues tones of all time; the Guvnor and Quaddy for Gary and the Rangemaster for Beano.
If I was to sell it I wouldn't be selling it cheap.

Interesting! I have the highly-tweakable TourMaster head. By itself, it doesn't blow you away. But in a band, dang it shines and works so well with the bass and drums.

HNAD!

I have a Rebel 30 combo myself and I'm really happy with it.

Don't agree on your comment about the Tube-Mix, it actually DOES affect the tone even on low volumes.
Not night and day difference of course, but at least I can hear a noticable difference.

Still, I found myself setting both channels to full 30W and the Tube-Mix between 10 and 11 o'clock. The EL84 side sounds fuller and raunchier on the drive channel, but can get a bit flubby and undefined on higher gain settings while the 6V6 side sounds smoother and more airy, but kind of thin for my taste though when using them on their own.
Therefore the Tube-Mix is a really cool feature actually.

And the attentuator does what an attentuator does: it reduces headroom so you can get more power amp breakup at lower volumes, works pretty well in a band setting or something, but don't expect to crank the amp set to 1W at bedroom friendly volume levels, dude.
A friend of mine played a non-miced gig with his Blackstar Series One set to 15W with the volume about halfway up and it almost drowned out the other guitar player's 100W Framus. Tube amps are pretty loud things.

Yeah.......I'm returning it and will probably get an AC15.

The cleans on this are very good but it's not really what I'm after. I actually prefer the cleans on my AC4.

...........

Quick question, can the AC15C1 do something like GnR or ACDC without a drive pedal or boost.

I might pick up a nice dirt pedal or a few delays...................

Can't you ABY the Egnater with the Vox? If you like the drive sounds the Egnater give that is, of course.

I have the AC15C1 and if you can crank the amp enough, you can play probably play ACDC and GnR just fine, but I don't really play ACDC and GnR, so I can't say for sure. :P

HNAD as well!

Well, when you get something new, it's always great. Now I realize that I miss an amazing clean channel. I could care less about how the drive sounds (although I use it quite a bit) but chimey cleans are what I'm used to now.

Dude play around with the eq (maybe with an eq pedal) to see if you can get it to have a good chimey tone before returning it right away. It took me almost 2 months to get an amazing clean from my Carvin, but I'm sooo glad I kept tweaking it because now it really shines! At least give it the most time you can before returning it...
