I recently installed a tremol-no in my guitar, and part of the installation is to remove the thing that you hook the springs onto in the back of the guitar. There was a little wire that was soldered on to that clamp thing, so I had to cut the wire. Then I finished the installation, but I didn't resoder that wire back yet my guitar worked perfectly fine with out that wire. Should I resoder that wire back on or is it fine the way it is?
That wire is for grounding the bridge. Attaching it will reduce hum in passive pickups; active pickups shouldn't have it.

find another place to ground it.

just strip some of the wire and wrap it around the allen key screw that is on the tremolno for that reason
