my cheery new song please advise

The workshop stands empty
Twilight but dank
Orphaned tools gather soot and ratshit
Abandoned and rank

Unfinished pieces lie stricken
mid-surgery and organless they wait
Unborn foetus' in this sodden dusk
Unaware of their fate

Their faces will never see my pain
or unburden my sorrow
Their hands will never carress
Just counting...COUNTING!!
Drag me on to tomorrow

My children stare
from rotten shelves insolent and brazen
Unpolished and apathetic they count
and time obeys them

I cower amongst them
A crippled slave to my begotten
Shackled by guilt and loss and by wane
A father to my burden

Their faces will never see my pain
or unburden my sorrow
Their hands will never carress
Just counting...COUNTING!!
Drag me on to tomorrow

Years tick by
The shelves grow higher as age wrestles my spine
Once jurors, now sallow faces at my execution
Unsympathetic and benign

But the axe never falls
The blade remains clean and the noose doesnt rot
and time crushes me as the watches Ive made
are made to watch

Their faces will never see my pain
or unburden my sorrow
Their hands will never carress
Just counting...COUNTING!!
Drag me on to tomorrow
