There are so many amps out there and I cant test em`all so if you guys could suggest one I would appreciate it. I live in Sweden and our music stores arent very full with amps.
These are my requirements:

50-100W
935$ or less
I have looked at the Bugera Infinium a bit...
I need a new tube amp for rock, metal and good cleans.
Three channels would be ideal (it isnt required): one clean, one distorted and one that is something in between.

I usually play with the mids almost entirely scooped, and the dist at 12 o`clock but I am starting to use more gain now.
Some sag would be nice but isnt required. (like in rectos)

Gear that will be used:
Ibanez APEX-2
Schecter C-1 Custom
Ibanez GRG-121
PRO Co cables
Modded Boss DS-1 (Keely mod or whatever it was called)

Here are some clips that shows a similar sound that Im looking for (Listen in HD):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ofHeYtpQx8 By the way the tone that the guitar makes is really sweet according to me. How to get it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwgmctKnGRc and finally:

I hope that this helps you!
Thanks!

Well the Papa Roach song I posted is very old and not so good vocally but I love the guitar tone. Roach is great now.
The 2 channel dual rec is identical to the normal one but one channel right? For how much did you get your 2 channel recto for?

Bugeras new line of amps look great and the Infinium technology is pretty interesting..

Exactly.

But for real what brands of amps do you have availble to you in your price range?

I have a Bugera and it has been fine for 2 yrs now, but if you have Jet City amps available in your area give them a look.

Peavey Vypyr tube 60 might be worth a look also.

a 2 ch dual has 2 chs, the new models have 3 chs.

I hardly doubt you'll find a good deal on a Mesa in your country. You maybe better looking at Engl, Framus amps.

Bugeras are unreliable there craftsmanship is shit.

Theres huge differences between 2 and 3 ch rectos.
In short the 2 ch sounds better.
The 3 ch has more versatility though.

I paid $900 shipped with a fitted ata flight case.

These amps are in my pricerange:
Laney Ironheart IRT60H
Orange Dual Terror
Line 6 DT25 Head
Peavey ValveKing VK100

THere are a lot of Marshalls on our stores but I dont like their tone that much.
Yeah, the Mesas are seriously overpriced here, even secondhand-

The Laney looks interesting..

The thing is that the Engls are very cheap and probably not that good or the cost a shit-ton

Where did you get it from? Do you have any clueHow much would it cost to ship it to Sweden?

Ive allways loved the Mesa tone

I have been looking at the IronHeart. I would go with the Laney, they make very nice amps. I used to have the GH50 and the matching 4x12 cab and it was very solidly built.

The VK100 is alright, but it can be easily modded to be a much better amp(and the mods are pretty cheap)

If you get a Valveking, you could easily mod it to be way better.

There's a swedish guitar forum aswell, with a lot of knowledgeable people who have experience with modding VK's. (I'm one of them). There are a couple of us living in Gothenburg. You don't really need the 100 watt head, though.

I like that the Laney has the Vari Watt feature so I can play without disturbing my neighbours. What amp should I look for to get the tones from the videos I posted?
IronHeart or the GH50?

^VH100R. Distortion of a GH50/100L and a working clean channel.

well the GH series is basicaly a hot rod marshall JCM800, so it will have moreof an 80's metal/hardrock flavor. It is a great amp for that style.

The IronHeart seems like it is a more Modern voiced amp, a little more American voiced than British. So I think this would probably be your best bet.

Fan va najs, jag bor i Götet!
Would the VK sound better Than the Ironheart if modded?
It doesnt have to have so many watts since I am micing the amp when giging, if possible.

The LANEY VH100RN is a bit too expensive..
I am now looking towards the Laney Ironheart IRT60H... Have any of you played it?
#21
Never tried the Ironheart, but the VH100R is ridiculously versatile. You can get it used for about 4-6000 SEK.

The VC50 is a 50 watt combo version of the VH100. About 3-4000 SEK.

But I do know the VK sound very good modded. Maybe not for that sound, on second thought though.

I think Ill stick to the Ironheart. It seems that it has that modern, fat, sound that Im looking for.
Thank you guys!
