i thought at the start of each decade thats when the best bands come out, then they rule that decade.. why hasn't that happened yet?

I really liked the Foster the People album. It's pretty removed from anything I usually listen to, but something about that album was incredibly catchy (and this is not including Pumped Up Kicks, which sounds nothing like the rest of the album). I'm not sure if you'd enjoy it at all, looking at that list, but then again, I didn't think I'd like it and now it's a guilty pleasure of mine.

Didn't Kings Of Leon do that with the 00's?

Are we talking 00's or 10's?

Because 10's are from 2010 and onwards. But quite a few of the bands in the OP are not from the 10's but from 00's.

Flying Lotus
Kuedo
Zomby
Machinedrum

Four Tet
Sepalcure

Fuck bands, all about producers these days.

Ah sorry. Must've read it poorly. I see. Edited my post up there now too then.

Only one band I ever listen from the 10's so far.

Keket
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.
#26
Fang Island
The Story So Far
The Boys of Summer (Disbanded and reformed as) Strange Vacation

These are the only ones I know of that didn't release any material prior to 2010, a shame really, I'd like to listen to more.
#30
Kvelertak
Closure in Moscow
Dead Letter Circus.
None of them are really going to become THE band of the decade, and they've all been around a while, but they are great bands who still have plenty left in their careers.

Based on your mention of PT, I'd suggest Battle Circus. They've already disbanded but their debut album was released in 2011, such a shame...

First Aid Kit are INCREDIBLE.
And TS, I see you like TMV, so check out Zechs Marquise. Their first record came out in 09, but they're awesome.
Please excuse my godawful username. I was thirteen.

Don't know about incredible but they are basically the only band I listen from the last couple of years. Got an EP with their autographs on.
