Hey UG. I wonder which one of these two tops are the best for my needs. I mostly play metal, rock, and blues. Which one of those tops do you recommend?

Marshall JMD05 - This has effects, but do I get loss in sound quality?

Marshall MA100H - This has no effects, but as I only need distortion, equalizer and flanger. Maybe I should get this with some pedals?

If there's another top in the same price class, but is better. Please tell me.

I also need a cabinet but I don't know if I should go for 2x12 or 4x12. What do you think?

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

I expressed myself wrong. I edited my post. What I meant is that those genres is what I play on guitar.

Both are pretty shitty. I'd look for a used head instead, maybe a DSL.

ah sorry. I meant what bands/guitar players do you mean when you say "rock, metal and blues" because everyone has a different idea of what those things mean
