I have a schecter hellraiser and plan to swap the stock emg 81/85s out and put a SD alnico 2 pro in the neck and a pearly gates in the bridge. I also want to use coil tapping. I know I have to change the jack, tone cap and the pots, but do I need to change the pickup selector switch as well? If I don't have to, ill obviously just use the same switch and put in push pull pots. If I do have to switch out the pickup selector, which 3 way switch should i use?

You won't have to change the switch (as long as the current switch does the job you want).

I hope you have a ground somewhere (bridge?)
Actives don't need grounding, but passives go bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz without it
