For a couple of years already I always kept finding some really strange and wicken looking instruments. Which instruments do you think are weird or neat? Post them!

Here are a couple of strange ones which I've found already:

42 String Guitar (lol how hard can it be to learn this?)

Nellophone (0.o)

Sarina

Glass Harmonica

Now for the cool ones:

Electric Guitar (this one isn't anything special but I think it's cool)

Futuristic Guitar (would you get one like this?)

Drumset (who would be able to play this?)
_______________________________________________________
That's all I was able to find. Which instruments do you know about?

The nellophone thing looks pretty cool though. I think if I was crazy rich I would buy that as an art piece. Just to tell people who ask, actually it's an instrument. And then play The Final Countdown on it.

I think the ocarina is really cool. This one kid who is extremely obsessed with the Legend of Zelda played it at our Christmas band concert and it sounded really good. I kinda wanna learn how to play one.

The glass harmonica is cool, I've been interested in finding someone who plays one for a while but there's no one who plays it these days. I think a lot of jug band/junk instruments are overlooked these days. Washboards, singing saws, junk percussion, washtub bass, I love all of it.

Ondes Martenot - From Mr Jonny Greenwood

Have you seen the live performance of How To Disappear, with 3 of them? No guitar either. It's incredible.

Greenwood does have fine taste in instruments doesn't he...

Infact, lets just turn this into a Radiohead appreciation thread. Who's with me?

I thought that last image of the drum kit was Terry Bozzio's kit? Maybe I'm wrong

I'd say the tsungi horn is definitely the coolest instrument.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.

le hurdy gurdy

I heard that once at a jazz festival, the sound was beautiful, especially the harmonics, and the tuning was natural, I think.
Not sure if a sig is a necessity.

Hurdy Gurdy is a pretty strange one, but yeah. As the other guy said, they sound awesome.

Oh, also stylophones. They're hella cheap and easy but so much fun. Mine's semi-broken so I need to buy a new one. :'(
