Hey UG

I'm looking to buy a new desktop and I was wondering what kind of spec am I looking at for a decent machine to be able to run software such as Guitar Rig without latency and also play games such as Skyrim, the new Star Wars game etc...

I'm in the UK and I have a budget of £500-£600

I've been looking at builds from two sites

http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ and http://www.chillblast.com/

anyone had any experience with either? if so what was the build quality like + customer service?

cheers

I built a pc ( I don't know uk prices)

With:
Amd x4 970 3.7gig CPU
8gb 1600mhz ram
1tb 7200 rpm 6gb/s hard drive
Gigabyte something motherboard
Nvidia GeForce gtx 560ti OC 2gb
Cooler master elite 410 (I think) case
And a hyper 212 cooler

For 675 USD in November, and it maxes out oblivion and plays bf3 on ultra at 1900x1200
Almost always above 60fps.

I know you may not understand specs, but read up and try to shoot for things with at least that equivalent and you can do the things you want out of your pc no problem.

And shoot for an intel 2500k if you can afford it.
