Anyway i have a fairly simple question how would i record with an active DI box with 4x12 cab simulation?

Is this possible?

You could but you aren't going to get any amp simulation, you'd have to add that too.

Yes you can.

Play in to the amp as normal, but use the effects loop send as your DI input. You can then apply the cabinet simulation after that in your DAW (or however you're doing it).

What DI are you using?

are you serious? so take the DI box should it be first in the effects loop or last?

just put in my loop and plug in as normal how would i record with it??

Explain the chain?

Yeah, stick a microphone in front of it.

Okaaaaay... I'm not sure we're on the same page here. But still, if you're using devices in your effects loop and want them to be part of the recorded sound, the DI box should be last in your guitar signal chain before going to the mic preamp.

What exactly are you recording in to and why do you want to do it?

Guitar goes into DI box input.

There should be a XLR output and you plug the XLR cable in there and then into your interface or mixer.

There should also be a TRS output in which you plug a cable in there and then the front of your amp.
