Alright guys, so I have a Squier Classic Vibe Tele Custom and the saddles that came on it are whack, they are threaded and one of the threads must be sharp or something because I am breaking a D string per week if not more frequently.

So for replacement, I'm thinking either fender standard brass or string savers. My question is are string savers really that great? I hate the black look of them but if they help that much more I guess I could put up with them.

What would you guys do? Spend extra for ugly black string savers, or just buy regular fender brass?

I'd get the string savers. Worked like a charm and haven't broken a string since I put them on. They increased the sustain too.
