So I was trying to sell an Ibanez s470dx on craigslist, and I got offered a Marshall JTM60. The guy said it broke, but he had it fixed up and had the tubes replaced. He even had some sort of cooling unit installed. Is it worth the trade? I hear they are terrible. Do they sound okay, because that is obviously my priority.

Your best bet to see if you like the sound is to test the amp out if possible or look up sound clips on youtube.

I like the sound, but there are so many complaints about it.

Seems like you don't want the amp. I wouldn't do it.

You have to be careful, because they're known for overheating. That cooling fan should have solved the problem tho.
