Anyone else put honey on chicken nuggets/strips? It seemed pretty common in Illinois when I was growing up. And it's delicious. But when I moved to Minnesota, no one did it and anyone I convinced to try it wasn't impressed. They preferred ketchup, which I thought was disgusting. Which is more nasty?

What kind of things do you put on food that people don't agree with?

Grilled cheese with strawberry jelly on top its just like toast with jelly....and cheese oh and it's only ok but, peanut butter on a bacon burger...which I think is popular around baton rouge and new orleans.

We call those Goober Burgers in Minnesota, and although I wouldn't say they're common here, I have definitely come across them.

Personally, I like hot sauce on toast.

Peanut butter and American cheese. Whenever I mention this to someone they usually almost vomit, but I've done it since I was little, so I could never really see why.

It's great.

The only two odd mixes that I like are Wendy's chocolate Frosties and fries, and pineapple and pizza.

And almost everyone eats those two, so its not that weird... just weird foods to mix.
This ends now, eat the goddamn beans!

Cheese on anything whatsoever.

In the same vein, I like putting jalapenos and hot sauce in mac'n'cheese, serve it up in a bowl and then top it off with some chili.

That's just the thing, though. NO ONE in this part of Minnesota has ever even heard of it. It's there, but people haven't ever tried it. I've seen people put honey on their biscuits from KFC, but not their honey. I was just beginning to believe it was just an Illinois ting.

What part of Minnesota are you from? Because I've been living in the Twin Cities for 23 years now, and I've had dozens of friends who have put honey on fried chicken.

I partake of the bacon/jelly sandwich quite often.

And this fish with cinna-apsauce sounds fucking divine.

Ketchup on chicken nuggets is awesome. Never tried honey though. I can't imagine it being bad.

I put honey mustard on absolutely everything. Chicken, pizza, hot dogs, cheeseburgers. It's the perfect condiment.
