Sounds more like Skrillex than dub-step.

no, He hims self say he doesn't make dub-step. dub-step is based off of dub (a reggae like music) and 2 step garage, with a focus on bass weight. Not saying your track is bad per say, but is electro-ish, not dub-step

are right fair enough I thought dub step was just the "wub wub wub" wobbling bass and all that stuff

nope, a lot of the original UK stuff does have that, but its never like random or sounds like scream/talking. But even when they get heavy, they never lose the on-the-up-beat feeling of dub, and the swing feeling of 2 step garage.

But on to your track, your idea is good for the style, But it sounds like you need to fatten up your base synth sounds, as well a play around with the envelope filters. The envelope filters will help vary the sound more and help each sound like different instruments.

Just out of curiosity what DAW and plugins are you using?
