Hi,

One month ago, I posted my new punkish/rock instrumental song and the same day I did that, a vocalist wrote to me, that he'd like to sing on it. So here is what we've done:

I hope that production is not too bad, I've never mixed a vocal with a song before, and generally it's my first collaboration after one year and two months of looking someone, with whom I could record some song

Cheers

to my ear your vocalist is out of time quite often. I think the vocal is mixed much too high and dwarfs the rest of the band as well

Michael87,
That's cool you found a singer: he's a good singer! I could live without the F-bombs, but that's just me (that's the only thing I can complain much about). Guitar playing is good. Overall audio quality is good. The song itself is good melody-wise. Good recording! Please review my music at this link:

This is sick, dude. He seems like a really good singer. Great powerful voice. I would have had the drums a higher volume in the mix though. The guitars drown out the percussion in places. Really well-played guitar.

Crit for crit?

Thank you As for the drums, they were loud enough in the mix after I exported all tracks, but in the process of loudening, when everything turned up, they stayed behind too much, and because of the last few days I spent on making a lot of different mixes, I had no strength to deal with it anymore, as it's not so bad.

Well I mix using headphones, so it's kinda problem, but the vocals sound good to me, though maybe because I use this headphones instead of speakers, it changes my perception. I got those vocals in a few files, so I might put it all together incorrectly, because of my headphones. I think everything is ok with the timing, but if there's something wrong, it's not so huge. Thanks for the crit

Pretty sick for your first collaboration dude. You plan on making an online band? Cause this isn't bad at all it's sweet. I would say it needs more bass. I feel that the vocals hes at 70% thru the whole song and it gets repetitive. I would think he would try and not sound the same as in tonal thru out the whole song and try different levels of singing not just full blown thru out the whole song.

Crit 4 Crit Please check out my song

sounds great, i would definitely like to hear more of a echo or reverb on the vox, and the singer does seem out of time a lot, but hes very powerful and has a great voice. The playings really good, very tight, i liked how it started to. Good work!

Thanks I've never thought about making an online band too much, though we are making one more song together, but this time a blues one and I believe, we should finish it soon.

Thank you Well I look into that vocals once again, and it seems, I put it all together a little bit wrong, nonetheless there were some occasional timings, but I don't care and after all at some point it's punk Though I would if it was some professional recording.

Not bad at all.

The production was pretty solid but personally, I'd prefer the guitars to be a louder. They sound quite interesting in some parts but they get a bit over powered by the vocals, which are really nice but get a bit overwhelming sometimes.

Anyway, not much else to say really... I like the angsty concept of the lyrics even though it's not exactly the delivered in the most original way... but that's okay. You've done well with this, and thanks for the crit on my tune too!
