I got my sx hawk ultra in the mail today. Looks and feels very nice. a good modding platform for a beginner like myself. seems setup nicely wont have a chnace to change strings and play it until I get home from work.

Well, it says "American swamp ash" which is what the body is made of, so it's probably just on the plastic film that normally covers new pick guards.

Nice. HNGD how thick is the neck on it? I a SX Hawk which had the super thick orange finish on it so I have no idea how a unfinning sx neck would feel.

thanks guys and the neck isnt too thick at all. having alot of trouble to get it to stay in tune. maybe have to get a new bridge i suppose right away.

just got some new lock in tuners, nut, knobs, and jack plate cover. all in black. gonna do black and red. trem will be the next thing to mod. any suggestions?
