Whatever the it's genre is, it's probably the nicest thing I've ever written. It's also got a unique story on how the song came to be, as explained in the lyrics

I HIGHLY recommend you listen in RSE. If you don't have it, here's an mp3 of the RSE version

PS. Please take a look at the bassline as well. You can't always hear it too well but it's not just root notes.

Quote by 'Lyrics'
When I went into school that morning it was just another day
But then I saw you in a different way
Just one thing that you did started a new story to tell
Just one choice in the morning and it paid off so well

I’ve never seen you like this before
Now I’m starting to notice you more
The light of your fires have me in awe
And they’ve lit up something bigger than you ever thought
You can hear the music it’s brought

[CHORUS]
Every idea has its ignition
Lighting the fuse for the first edition
Adding a flame to my compositions
And filling me with new ambitions
It came completely out of the blue
Then these wonderful sounds ensued
It’s true
This was Inspired by You.

When I got home from school on that afternoon in May
New notes came into my head, cause I had so much more to say
Yes, it started with something shallow, but it’s getting so deep
Now I’m diving in for a treasure I can reach

A rare amber in this gold rush
I always thought it would work between us
But my heart never made a fuss
Till the day you let everyone see your light
Now in my eyes you burn so bright.

[CHORUS]
Every idea...

Don't let this story end in disaster
Lets conclude this with a happily ever after
As I'm writing more to make it continue
I'm changing for the better as I'm changing for you
Our tale has gone on for so long but now I'm making a new start
I started off rough, but now I seen enough to know kindness is the key to your heart

[CHORUS X2]
Every idea...

When I went into school that morning it was just another day
But then I saw you in a different way

This is the catchiest song I've ever heard on these forums. I wish I had something to REALLY critique. I wanna say it was too cliche and shit, but THE LYRICS WERE SO ****ING CUTE.
Poop.

Yes, poop.

Yeah, I play guitar and piano. And I'm in a band, who will hopefully do justice to this song.

And i'll put the lyrics in the first post for people listening to the mp3

Catchy as hell, and excellently written, as far as pop songs go. The guitar solo was great. My only gripe is that the lyrics are really goofy and sometimes awkwardly phrased. I did my best to follow along, and sometimes the way the syllables line up with the music sounds forced. Places where you would naturally accent a word in speech aren't accented to make it fit the rhythm, that kind of thing.

This song makes you smile all way long. Sounds a bit like the ataris for me (boys of summer idk why) ? But ya record that. Now.

Assholes aren't really more successful, it's just that they yell the loudest, therefore you notice them more than the nice people.
