I've been playing since august and got my first electric in October, but I'm stuck. You see, I'm fairly alright at guitar, but I have no clue what my skill level is. It would be great if you could give me some songs at my level to play (any genre) as it would help my playing.

Songs I can play:
-Creep
-Sunshine of your love
-Kashmir
-Gimme shelter

Songs I can play halfway:
-Hey Joe
-The Wind cries Mary (Hendrix!)
-Stairway to Heaven

Let me know what I should do next!

Runnin with the devil-van halen

the more types of music you learn the more techniques and stylistic approaches you develop.

try:
Still Got the Blues - Gary Moore
Enter Sandman - Metallica
Good Riddence (Time of your Life) - Green Day
Plush - Stone Temple Pilots

Some pieces are only meant to be played by people with six fingers on their fretting hand. Sorry.

great list. First song I ever learned on electric was sweet child o mine. Once you learn the intro riff, you have like 90% of the song. Just pick catchy songs and skip the solos. Stay away from old metallica and any guitar virtuoso and you should be golden.

At least for now, that is.
