So I saw a guy with a purse this morning and was informed it's called a "murse".
I laughed at the guy and told him he had too much shit if he needed something like that.
So who here carries a "murse". Lady UGers are exempt from my scorn.

The ****? Murses are male nurses.

Purses carried by men are man purses.

That's what I thought.

Ya, heaven forbid they call them "purses." Cuz they're for men, and manly things are supposed to begin with "m."

I called it a purse.
Wasn't my insecurity that renamed it.

I think men carrying bags is beginning to become acceptable, as frankly people carry a lot of stuff around with them nowadays. What is not acceptable is this. http://www.alphanail.com/

I love how 'feminine' products are marketed for men. Moisturiser becomes 'SKIN-PROTECTOR!', and now nail polish becomes 'ALPHA NAIL!'.

I might look a bit suspicious because that was my first post. And surprise surprise, alphanail is endorsed by Dave Navarro

What why is this necessary
I just carry everything in my pockets unless it's absolutely impossible which is very rare, and guys' pockets are bigger so you can put more stuff in right?

I tend to have a satchel, though that's for books+laptop, but even over the summer, I used to carry it quite often. Water bottles, glasses cases, raincoats - that shit don't go in pockets.

first off, they're called manbags

secondly, why? just use a backpack or something and avoid looking gay

Or, grow up and stop caring what strangers think.

Backpacks are overkill most of the time; satchels or messenger bags are just more convenient.

I went looking for a messenger bag last week since mine has torn to shreds and all stores only had those man-bags

I mostly use pockets. Usually my coat, as I'm currently just between 2 sizes on my belt so it's either horribly too tight, or loose enough that my jeans fall off when I have phone/wallet/ipod in the pockets.

EDIT: I thought "purses" were just what women called wallets.

Me too, but seems most people use the word for handbags.

I voted no on the murse, but a definite yes on the lady's underwear. I like to drape bras from my ears. It's a fashion statement.

Trends are getting queerer ...

Its not a murse, its a purse.

If you are a man and you wear a dress, it doesn't become something different, its still a fucking dress!

In the UK, yes.

In the US, a wallet is a wallet, and a handbag is a purse.
