I've recently gotten into Old School Hip-Hop/Rap and I've decided to start making my own .

Here is what I've got so far, see what you think . They are instrumental at the moment and I'm looking at getting my friend to lay down some vocals.

Pretty nice stuff! I listened to the first one. It doesn't have quite the....swing... I would normally expect in the rhythm section of an old hip hop song. Feels a little too straight. If I were you I'd through some more space and syncopation into the drums, especially the kick. That is, of course, preference. Your instrumentation sounds good though and as far as I can tell through my computer speakers (eh) your mix is solid.

I'd love to hear it with some vocals!
