Instead of heading down to Florida or some place like that for the march break, I'm going to be going to China. Has anyone been there before? If so, share stories!

I'm from there...

It's definitely a very different culture. If you're going to be in a big city, it can be overwhelming. Shanghai is probably the most western friendly.

People might seem really rude or pushy, but with how fast paced it is and how many people there are, it's kind of inevitable. Don't take it personally.

Also, people drive recklessly and will not stop for you. Do not cross the street without praying to God first.

Local food is hella cheap and awesome, but you should read up what places are reputable first.

Still a developing country, so sanitation is not as good. Keep tissues and toilet paper on you if you're going to be out for a while, because lots of places don't provide them.

Visit the mountainsides if you can.

Most things can be haggled. Don't buy shit at base price.
