A list of some extremely useful resources for practising your mixing/mastering/whatever skills on. Excellent audio quality, and free! There's something for everyone, metal, rap or whatever. Have a gander.

I've been practising on these in preparation for my mixing assessment at college, and I've had quite a bit of fun doing it. If your mixing skills need polishing and you can't get the best quality audio by doing your own recordings, have a look. Also, if anybody else has any links to free multitracks, post them up and I'll add them to this post!

http://www.cambridge-mt.com/ms-mtk.htm Around 100 tracks, all genres
http://www.shakingthrough.com/stems 10+ tracks (thanks to maggot9779)
http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/production-tips/515941-list-raw-songs-our-mixing-practice.html 20+ tracks, heavy metal. (thanks to maggot9779)

http://mixoff.org/ (thanks to maggot9779)

And if you need a DAW...

Have a blast chaps!

Interesting. Might have to give some of these a shot. They'd be excellent to add to someone's portfolio to show off their mixing skills

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

Problem with the Andy Sneap stuff is that half the links are dead, I was looking their earlier.

Bumping this thread, sorry if this is against the rules but more people should see this as it's a good resource
